Not the first time I’ve been here and certainly not the last. Superior pizza and salads and we sat right across from the kitchen so we could see the artisans at work! It’s pretty noisy out back but that does not take away from this excellent energy of this spot.

We absolutely love Italian Artisans and are forever recommending it as the best pizza we’ve ever had. Excellent service every single time we visit + a beautiful relaxed vibe, 10/10. We visit with our family (including our young daughter), for date night, and for catch-ups with friends, it’s always a great time.

Very vibrant and great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. The delightful host was knowledgeable with the menu and have a photographic memory with all our orders for party of 9. Delicious pizza with thin and chewy base. Very pleasant experience

If you're in Albert Park, Melbourne, near the beach, make sure to visit this fantastic pizza spot. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with lovely service and a thoughtfully curated wine list. The starters are a delight, featuring Italian anchovies, caponata, cured meats, and more. The pizzas are light, digestible, and truly delicious. Highly recommended if you're in the area!

After a disappointing and subpar dinner on Wednesday night at Chancery Lane in the CBD (truffle dinner event – more on that in another review – appalling to say the least) we needed to tantalise our taste buds, stomachs and souls, and it being Thursday it called for Pizza night. Reading a lot lately about Italian Artisans in Albert Park so we made a booking and got down to business. Upon walking into the restaurant, it gets you hungry immediately, the aroma of pizzas and focaccias baking, the visual display of cured meats hanging there patiently awaiting to be sliced and served, and the aroma and fragrance of the produce in general got us salivating. Service was quick, attentive, the lovely lady that served us was on the ball the whole night, and upon taking us to our table she recommended a Prosecco from the motherland for us, so obviously we ordered a bottle, blasphemy not to! We started off like all w0gs do, getting full on mezze/antipasto , so a salumi board with some cold cuts, cheese, pickles, olives, the usual trimmings, a freshly baked focaccia the size of a pizza, doused in garlic (as it should be), and some Amalfi coast anchovies because life is better when it’s salty and by the ocean. Hey, how else would you enjoy your food besides tearing off fresh focaccia, scooping up some sardines, salumi, cheese and making your own little paninis which sipping on some vino. Bliss. So, the starters were brilliant, and packed a flavour and umami punch that we needed. For a pizza we had to get the Cornuto, it screamed to us, like our parents and grandparents would when we misbehaved, but this time in a good way. The tomato, provolone, soppresa, red peppers and nduja was a flavour combination reminiscent of what we grew up eating, so it hit all the nostalgia buttons. Such a great pizza, chewy, fluffy, crispy crust, texture and mouth feel were on point, and the toppings were sublime. If we weren’t full from the starters we would have got another one as we were also eyeing the capricciosa. Seriously, we have had so many brilliant pizzas lately over the last 5-6 weeks on our Melbourne Pizza Tour, and Italian Artisans delivered the good. Grandmissimo! Highly rated, one of the best in town, and we know have said that a lot (trust me we have had some shockers so our curation process for pizza joints in Melbourne is a tedious one), and as we have stated previously for others, they (Italian Artisans) are one of the best in their domains. Although pizza looks like ‘pizza’ in photos, it tastes different, smells different, has a different bite and mouth feel, and is a winner, especially after serving up quality starters. Italian Artisans does pizza right and provides an enjoyable dining experience! Thanks for having us!

Rating this 5 stars as it’s my favourite place but wanting to send a feedback to management. I have come here almost every other week for 6 months, at the beginning, I truly felt like I was in Napoli, the crust was simply sublime. Airy, charred just right, perfect. However, the last few times (3 in a row), there seems to be a massive drop in quality. You can tell by the photos. First two are from earlier on in the year (simply delightful), last four were from recently, including a takeout last night… the toppings are still same quality but the pizza as a whole has seemingly fallen, flat and sad base, very disappointing. Not sure why this has happened but really keen to stay loyal to my fav pizza shop so please I hope you can take on the feedback

Grazie mille to the whole Italian Artisans staff!! I held my farewell drinks here last night in the backyard room, which was beautifully decorated by Eleonora! All my guests loved the space, the food and the sweet pizza at the end! Highly recommend for functions or gathering!! Grazie Eleonora, the chefs and the wait staff for an unforgettable night

Pizzeria from the same owner of the famous DOC pizza. Situated within the leafy neighborhood of Port Melbourne, this place is such a vibe. In terms of the main food there's only pizza and lasagna so be mindful of that. We ordered the porcini pizza which comes with truffle oil too but it's very mild so we can't really taste it. We also ordered the 2002 which was voted Melbourne's best pizza in 2002! We were skeptical because there were thinly sliced lemons on the pizza, but turns out it works really well. It was not as sour as we originally think and it provided a refreshing zest to the overall taste. Food - 7 Service - 9 Vibe - 10 Price - $$
